About Instructors
Dr.Jamie Felton

-Dr. Felton is a board-certified pediatric endocrinologist at the Riley Hospital for Children and physician scientist in the IU Center for Diabetes and Metabolic Diseases and the Herman B Wells Center for Pediatric Research. She earned her MD from the University of Texas before completing her pediatric residency at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. She completed her pediatric endocrinology fellowship at Vanderbilt University, where she then stayed for an additional year to do postdoctoral research with Dr. James W. Thomas, investigating the role of B lymphocytes in type 1 diabetes pathogenesis. Her research passions include understanding the immune pathogenesis of type 1 diabetes in order to develop effective theraputic interventions.
