This course provides healthcare professionals with a comprehensive framework for managing emerging and Re-emerging infectious threats. It moves beyond routine protocols to focus on high-consequence pathogens that challenge standard hospital operations.
Participants will master the "Identify, Isolate, and Inform" workflow, evaluate the efficacy of advanced environmental excellence, and refine high-level PPE competencies. By bridging the gap between current epidemiological trends and frontline clinical practice, the activity empowers facilities to move from reactive crisis management to proactive pandemic readiness, ensuring both patient safety and staff protection during infectious outbreaks.

Describe major emerging and re-emerging infectious diseases relevant to healthcare facilities.
Explain the relationship between disease transmission routes and infection prevention measures.
Analyze the role of leadership in promoting infection prevention and control compliance.
Implement environmental and isolation-zone management practices to reduce transmission risks.
By the end of this activity, participants will be able to recognize emerging and re-emerging infectious disease threats, apply evidence-based infection prevention strategies, implement isolation and environmental control measures,
analyze antimicrobial resistance challenges, utilize outbreak management principles, and demonstrate proper use of N95 respirators and PAPRs to enhance patient and healthcare worker safety.
-Certified Infection Preventionist holding Two bachelor's degrees in Biochemistry and Nursing, supplemented by a postgraduate diploma in Infection Control from JCI. Currently employed at Johns Hopkins Healthcare, with previous roles including service as the program coordinator for the 2nd JCI/MOH Infection Control Diploma, a Respiratory Response Team (RRT) member, and a hospital auditor during the MERS-CoV outbreak. A member of the Saudi Society for Infection Prevention and Control (SSIPS) and the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC). Currently, CBAHI candidate surveyor.

She holds an MBBS from King Faisal University and a Field Epidemiology Training Program (FETP) Diploma from King Saud University.
-My name is Dr.Jumana Aljishi ]. I am a Consultant in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases and currently serve as the Head of the Infectious Disease Unit and Antimicrobial Stewardship Program. I have extensive experience managing complex infectious diseases, including HIV, tuberculosis, brucellosis, and severe bacterial infections. I also provide national infectious disease consultation through the Ministry of Health Lifeline service. My professional interests include antimicrobial stewardship, outbreak investigation, and clinical research aimed at improving patient outcomes and preventing infectious diseases.
