Introduction

The 3rd Taif International Neonatology Conference dedicated to advancing neonatal care through preventive strategies, cutting-edge research, and discussions on neonatal conditions, surgical disorders, postoperative care, and innovative tools like neonatal mechanical ventilators. This conference aims to bridge gaps between surgeons and neonatologists, address therapeutic controversies, explore best practices to enhance neonatal outcomes and shape the future of infant healthcare in Saudi Arabia.

Description

  • Date & Time:
  • Date: Tuesday & Wednesday & Thursday |  26 - 28 November 2024
  • Time: (8:00 AM  –  5:00 PM)

(                 3 DAYs               )

  • Goals & objectives:
  • Identify the importance of preventive approach in minimizing medical complications and optimizing developmental outcome like during neonatal transport and delivery room management and certain vaccination.
  • Discuss the most interesting neonatal conditions and the latest updates in common neonatal medical and surgical disorders including postoperative care and resolving the confusing points between surgeon and neonatologists through cases presentation and discussion.
  • Discuss new developments in treating conditions those are associated with morbidity and mortality in the neonate and update of using certain tools like neonatal mechanical ventilators.
  • Discuss therapeutic controversies and implications for clinical practice and new trends in special neonatal care of skin, vascular access.
  • Recognize the new trends and the new management techniques like surfactant application and prevention of intraventricular hemorrhage.
  • Discuss the role of certain tools in diagnosis of some neonatal condition and the new role of neonatologist to use them like brain MRI and cranial Ultrasound.
  • Recognize the new strategies in different blood components transfusion and benefits and hazards of them.
  • Explain certain procedures that helping in diagnosis and management of certain neonatal conditions like practice of using lung ultrasound.
  • Discuss the new role of Artificial Intelligence in the field of neonatology and how can it improve the process of education and management.
  • Discuss the effect of the environment around the newborn (like effect of noise), and the positive effect of involving the parents in neonatal care, and their impact on neonatal outcome
  • Learning Outcomes:
  • Upon completion, participants will develop a comprehensive understanding of preventive strategies that crucial for minimizing complications and optimizing outcomes. Also, they will bridge the knowledge in managing high-risk neonates by learning advanced diagnostic and treatment strategies. They will also able in using essential neonatal tools such as mechanical ventilators and ultrasound. Their ability to manage complex cases and handling specialized neonatal emergency care will be improved.
