Goals & objectives:

By the end of this session the participants will be able to:

• Define what osteoporosis is, including its causes and risk factors.
• Identify key preventive measures against osteoporosis.
• To discuss latest advances in osteoporosis and fracture assessment tools, diagnosis, and therapies.
• To demonstrate and discuss the need of implementing post-fracture programs locally and discuss the steps needed for implementation.
• To demonstrate the treatment pathways available to treat osteoporosis including specific populations and conditions.

Learning Outcomes:

• This course aim to provide audiences with a comprehensive understanding of osteoporosis and learn about the diagnostic tools used. They will be able to discuss how to prevent it through lifestyle modifications and understand the importance of fall prevention ways to reduce fracture risk. And explore its medical and pharmacological treatments. Participant will be aware of the physical consequences of it. And learn about ways to improve the quality of life for individuals living with osteoporosis.
